Our team of experts dive deep into the inner workings of a UPS system to confirm the reliability of the power stream until the next preventative maintenance is scheduled. This service includes battery measurements, testing of components, room temperature recommendations, data recording, a thorough cleaning and timeline insights for replacement of batteries, components, etc.
The condition of the batteries is a common concern when it comes to UPS maintenance and reliability. Electrocom utilizes purpose-built measuring equipment to obtain accurate battery health results and project the remaining life available from the string.
When critical loads are being protected by the UPS and it is not permissible to do a "discharge" test, a battery internal resistance tester sets the standard for assessing the deterioration and remaining life of lead-acid batteries. These measurements are taken when the UPS is online and the batteries are in a standby charged (float) state, ready to provide the protected load with instantaneous power in the case of an outage. Float voltage data is recorded but is less precise than internal resistance measurements when evaluating long-term health in a bank of batteries.
Electrocom specializes in UPS battery replacements. We utilize specific tools to get heavy batteries replaced safely and efficiently. Recycling of old batteries is included with pricing of new replacements.
Power Stream commissioning is available through Electrocom.
